DURGA PUJA DONATIONS RAISED UP FROM 10,000 TO 25,000 CM MAMATA BANERJEE SAID !!

KOLKATA : Only 30 Days to go for the great festival Durga Puja 2019 across the state. CM Mamata Banerjee On a detailed meeting yesterday announced some great news for the Pujo Organizers. The meeting took place in Netaji Indoor Stadium where Commissioner of Police, Kolkata, Director General of West Bengal Police and ministers from several departments were present. Also the representatives from several religions and durga puja committees representatives were also present in the meeting.

The donation to the Puja committees has been enhanced to Rs 25,000 from Rs 10,000 and apart from this, Puja committees all core members are women will get Rs 5,000 more from the police department.

During the meeting, some of the pujo committees members informed CM that every year they had to pay a huge amount to CESC for electric supply. After hearing this CM Announced for this year onward’s there will be 25% Discount on CESC and WBSEDCL in West Bengal.

Presently 28,000 Pujo committees organize big puja across the state and along with them small pujo committees are also there organizing locally.

CM Mamat Banerjee also suggested to all the pujo committees of Kolkata to end up with the VIP Pass culture saying ” It is very bad that a huge count of people standing for hours to see the pujo and few people with a card can get in to the pujo premises with another entrance and visit the pujo without any hazard”.

While discussing the facts she turned to State Fire Minister Mr. Sujit Bose and told him that she dot want to see VIP Passes for Sreebhumi. She also instructed Mayor Firhad Hakim and state PWD minister Aroop Biswas that no VIP passes should be made for their areas.

She also said, during the time of pujo hopping if the pujo premises is over crowded there should not be any panic or no one should shout for the same, maintain silence and peace.

Finally she also announced this years Pujo Carnival will be held on 11th October 2019 , Red Road, Kolkata.
