Weather forecast Today, Cyclone Bulbul Live News Updates: Very severe cyclonic storm ‘Bulbul’ over the Bay of Bengal is likely to make landfall between West Bengal-Bangladesh coasts by late Saturday evening or night, bringing in its wake very heavy rain and gale wind of up to 135 kmph along the coastline, the India Meteorological Department said on Saturday.

As per the latest MeT bulletin, the Storm is now centred about 120 km east-northeast of Paradip (Odisha), 105 km south-southwest of Sagar Islands (West Bengal), 110 km east-southeast of Chandbali, 210 km south-southwest of Kolkata and 290 km west-southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh).

Fishing operations have been suspended and people in low lying areas are being evacuated to shelter homes. As many as 16 teams of the National Disaster Response Force and State Disaster Response Force have been positioned in West Bengal and additional teams are being deployed at the request of the states.
