Eclipses in Kolkata, West Bengal, India (Calcutta) 26.12.2019

The eclipse of December 26, 2019 will be Annular Solar Eclipse of magnitude 0.97. It would not be Total Solar Eclipse as the shadow of moon would cover only 97% of the Sun. However during annularity the shadow of the Moon would coincide with the center of the Sun to form a circular ring around the Sun. The longest duration of totality would be 3 minutes and 39 seconds.

The Annular Solar Eclipse would be observed from IndiaSri LankaSaudi ArabiaSumatra and BorneoOotyMangaluruKasaragodKarurKozhikodeTellicherryCoimbatoreSivagangaTiruchirappalliJaffnaAl Hofuf and Singapore are few popular cities where Annular Solar Eclipse would be visible.

Some of the well-known cities from where Partial Solar Eclipse would be visible are MumbaiBengaluruNew DelhiChennaiMysoreKanyakumariRiyadhDohaAbu DhabiMuscatKuwait CityKarachiKuala Lumpur and Jakarta.

None of the eclipse would be visible from USACanadaMexicoBrazilArgentina and other countries in American continent. Also none of the eclipse would be visible from United KingdomFranceItalyGermanySpainSouth Africa and other countries of European and African continent.
